Tuomas Näsi co-heads HPP’s Energy practice, specialising in energy, infrastructure and industrial transactions and projects. His work spans strategic investments, project development and M&A, and includes advising domestic and international clients on complex multi-party arrangements across a range of energy technologies and infrastructure assets.
He advises on both transactional and project-related matters, with a strong emphasis on strategic planning, risk management and commercially viable solutions. Tuomas works across a broad range of technologies and infrastructure within the energy sector, including onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydrogen and its derivatives, gas, bioenergy, and hydropower, as well as electricity, gas, and hydrogen grids and transmission and distribution infrastructure. Many of his projects have cross-border elements and involve long-term partnerships between multiple parties.
Prior to rejoining private practice, Tuomas served as Legal Director at a project development company in the energy sector, where he was a member of the management team. This background gives him a thorough understanding of the commercial and regulatory dynamics of the energy and infrastructure sectors, enabling him to effectively assist clients in navigating the complexities of these fast-paced and highly regulated markets.
