Students
Over 30 students join HPP through our trainee programmes every year. We have trainee programmes for students in different stages of their degree.
We recruit trainees three times a year: in the spring, in August, and at the end of the year. Trainee positions are fixed-term internships.

Junior Trainee
You are at the start of your studies and taking your first steps towards a career in law. As a Junior Trainee, you support our lawyers and other teams in day today work and help keep things running smoothly. Your tasks may vary from printing and delivering documents to the authorities to helping with reception and meeting arrangements. You will also handle translations, small research tasks and proofreading.
The role is part-time during the academic year, usually 1–3 days a week and typically lasts about a year.
Legal Trainee
As a Legal Trainee, you have already reached the halfway of your studies and you’re ready to take on more legal work. You assist our lawyers with drafting documents, preparing translations and working on memoranda. You may also follow legislation, track current developments and help with transcription when needed.
This role is part‑time alongside your studies, usually 2–3 days a week, and the trainee period typically lasts about a year.
Associate Trainee
You are nearing the end of your studies and ready to work fulltime. You get a close look at the work of a lawyer and build expertise in the area of law you want to focus on. You will join one of our practise areas and support our lawyers with drafting legal documents, conducting research and assisting with translations.
The full-time trainee period lasts around four months.
