HPP acted as legal counsel to Icecreek Energy II Oy in connection with its strategic entry into the Finnish battery energy storage market, advising on a portfolio of five BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) projects located across Finland, with a combined installed capacity of 34 MW and a total storage capacity of 89 MWh.
HPP’s advice covered the full scope of the transaction, including inter alia the acquisition of Ready-to-Build projects from multiple early-stage project developers, the arrangement of loan financing, and the Finnish law aspects of the equity financing and EPC contract arrangements.
