HPP’s Energy & Infrastructure team is among the market leaders in Finland. Our multidisciplinary team advises domestic and international clients – including project developers, investors, industrial companies and financiers – throughout the entire lifecycle of energy and infrastructure projects and investments.
Would you like to work at the forefront of the green transition and the electrification of society and industry? In this role, you will be involved in high-profile transactions and projects relating to, for example, renewable energy, synthetic fuels, hydrogen and other industrial-scale energy transition initiatives.
We are now looking for an Associate or Senior Associate Lawyer to focus on transactions and contractual matters within the energy and infrastructure sectors.
About the position
Your work will include, among other things:
- M&A transactions and joint venture arrangements relating to energy and infrastructure projects
- Project development work connected to the green transition, including wind, solar, hydrogen, bioenergy, CCS/CCU and electricity distribution infrastructure projects
- Drafting and negotiating agreements relating to the energy sector
You will work closely with other HPP experts, including specialists in environmental law, M&A and finance. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop broad expertise in legal matters relating to the energy transition at the intersection of corporate law, regulation and transactions.
Your profile
We are looking for a person who has:
- a Master of Laws degree and at least 1–2 years of experience working as a lawyer
- a genuine interest in acting as a strategic advisor in green transition and infrastructure projects
- a client-oriented and solution-driven mindset
- strong analytical skills and the ability to identify the essential in complex matters
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- fluency in Finnish and English; knowledge of Swedish is considered an asset
We value previous experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors and industrial investments, as well as experience of working in a law firm or in other similar advisory roles.
